Amazing Animals
The purpose of this project was to choose a live creature and draw it in 4 different aesthetics using a reference photo. After finishing the pieces, I cleaned up images in Photoshop and Illustrator to present.

Reference Photo
I chose a rabbit because they have interesting features such as the large ears and cottontail. There are also many pop culture references made towards the animal which makes it easier brainstorm ideas during the design process.
Encyclopedic Drawing
I used the reference photo to trace the basic outline of the rabbit and proceeded to shade in areas. I added fur texture and different features using different pencil shades and techniques.
Logo Drawing
I took an extra step in this assignment and I decided to vectorize my logo which was not required. I used the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator to trace my original drawing from my sketches. Overall, I enjoy how clean it looks and I used principles of design such as line, shape, and value to create the final logo. My sketches below show the multiple ideas I had for this piece and I ended up choosing number six to finalize.
Transformation Drawing
The goal of the transformation drawing was to turn the rabbit into something recognizable in pop culture. I had many different ideas shown in my sketches yet I decided to go with the Energizer Bunny because it represented the shape I wanted for my animal and it looks clean.
Gesture Drawing
The gesture drawing is meant to be quick and capture the overall essence of the rabbit. For my final design, I chose the concept above because it emphasized the hind legs, tail, and ears which are the main factors of a rabbit. I used gestalt and different thickness levels. I created this using a black India Ink brush pen and was cleaned up and resized in Photoshop.
